We have some exciting news to share with you! After a memorable journey at Cuthberts 2.0 on Slater Street, we are delighted to announce our return to our roots. Cuthberts Bakehouse will be reopening its doors at 103 Mount Pleasant, bringing back the unmatched atmosphere of our beloved original cafe. In this blog post, we will take you through our journey of nostalgia, the reasons behind our decision, and the excitement that awaits us.
Goodbye, Slater Street!
As we embarked on our journey away from Mount Pleasant, we couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia. The memories created within those walls were cherished by both our team and our loyal customers. The warm and inviting atmosphere, the aroma of freshly baked cakes, and the laughter shared over afternoon tea were all a part of what made Cuthberts Bakehouse special. We missed our home dearly, and the decision to move back was fuelled by our desire to recreate those magical moments.
While Cuthberts 2.0 on Slater Street provided us with new opportunities and experiences, we realised that our true essence resided in Mount Pleasant. It is where our journey began, and it is where we truly belong. Our loyal customers, whose enthusiasm and love for our independent tea rooms have been unwavering, inspired us to return. We are committed to providing them with the finest quality afternoon tea, cakes, and savouries that they have come to know and love.
The decision to move back to Mount Pleasant is not just about reliving the past; it is about embracing the future with excitement. We are thrilled to reopen our doors in November 2023 and create new memories with our customers. The support and loyalty we have received throughout our journey have been overwhelming, and we are grateful for every single person who has been a part of our story.
